SCI:// Botchi's COM-DECK

Game ready asset made with Blender and Substance Painter, rendered here in Unreal Engine 5

Part of a little worldbuilding project I've been calling Star Colony Illogicoma.

The COM-DECK device was designed to be an all-in-one multifunctional science and engineering companion device that would allow the user to load carts that contained the appropriate information to interface with any device in the colony, Due to the efforts of a few enterprising engineers, the B01 model ended up being used as a portable media device which led to the inclusion of additional functions in the B02+ compatible model, which sports a built in radio, multimedia playback functionality and a backwards compatible cart loader using the B02+ standard. This became popular with the general public, and so colourful and unique models were sold to help fund the further development of the Consolidated Technology Division's extracurricular experimental programs.

Due to the anachronistic nature of the SCI:// extradimensional research mission, the decision was made to include screens directly within the carts so that in the event that a cart became unreadable or that COMDECK technology advanced too quickly, the important information could still be easily salvaged. This also had the handy secondary function of providing a dual screen overlay option, a function that was mainly used by early game developers for the system.

This specific model belongs to the recognized independent android singularity B07-CH1 - or Botchi, for short.
